- Full legal names of both parties
- Dates of birth
- Contact information (email, phone, address)
- Identity documents (passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate)
- Previous marriage documentation (if applicable)
- Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) forms
- Payment information (processed securely via Stripe)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process and manage your ceremony booking
- Verify your identity as required by Australian marriage law
- Lodge your marriage paperwork with the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM)
- Communicate with you about your booking
- Process payments
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Legal Requirements
As a marriage celebrant service, we are required by Australian law to:
- Verify the identity of both parties before the ceremony
- Lodge the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one month before the ceremony
- Submit marriage documentation to the BDM within 14 days of the ceremony
- Retain certain records as required by the Marriage Act 1961
4. Data Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously:
- Identity documents are stored with AES-256 encryption
- Access to sensitive documents is restricted to authorised personnel only
- Celebrants can view but not download identity documents
- We use secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor
5. Data Retention
We retain your information as follows:
- Identity documents are automatically deleted 30 days after your marriage is registered
- Booking records are retained for 7 years as required for tax and legal purposes
- Marriage records are submitted to the BDM who maintain official records
6. Third Parties
We may share your information with:
- Your assigned celebrant (to conduct the ceremony)
- Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages (legal requirement)
- Stripe (for payment processing)
- Email service providers (for booking confirmations)
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

- Access your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
