1. Services

Perth's Mobile Marriage Office provides mobile marriage ceremony services in the Perth metropolitan area. Our services include:

  • Legal marriage ceremonies performed by Commonwealth-registered celebrants
  • Signing of marriage register and certificates
  • Form 15 presentation certificate
  • Lodgement of paperwork with the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM)
  • Optional add-on services as selected during booking

2. Booking Requirements

To book a ceremony, you must:

  • Book at least 32 days in advance (to meet the legal NOIM requirement of lodging at least one calendar month before the ceremony)
  • Provide accurate personal information for both parties
  • Submit a valid Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form
  • Provide identity documents as required by Australian marriage law
  • Both parties must be at least 18 years of age
  • Both parties must be legally free to marry

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are displayed in Australian dollars and include GST
  • Base ceremony prices: Weekday (Monday-Thursday) from $550, Weekend (Friday-Sunday) from $750
  • Weekend afternoon ceremonies (after 12pm) incur an additional $100 surcharge
  • Travel surcharges apply based on distance from Perth CBD
  • Payment is required at the time of booking
  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. No rescheduling is available.

By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept that your payment cannot be refunded or transferred to another date for any reason, including changes of circumstance, venue issues, or weather conditions.

Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel your booking within 7 business days of receiving it. Reasons for cancellation may include, but are not limited to, being unable to find a celebrant willing to officiate the ceremony. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.

5. Ceremony Requirements

For your ceremony to proceed, you must:

  • Provide two witnesses over 18 years of age who understand English
  • Have valid identity documents available for verification before the ceremony
  • Ensure the venue is accessible and suitable for a ceremony
  • Obtain any necessary permits for public venues
  • Have a backup plan for outdoor venues in case of inclement weather

6. Celebrant Assignment and Attendance

  • We will assign a Commonwealth-registered marriage celebrant to perform your ceremony
  • Celebrant assignment is at our discretion and may change due to availability
  • All our celebrants are authorised under the Marriage Act 1961
  • Your celebrant will arrive 15 minutes before your booked ceremony start time
  • Your celebrant will stay for a maximum of 30 minutes from your booked ceremony start time - please ensure you and your witnesses are ready to begin on time

7. Legal Compliance

Our services are provided in accordance with:

  • The Marriage Act 1961 (Cth)
  • The Marriage Regulations 2017
  • Guidelines from the Attorney-General's Department

Your celebrant is required to meet with each party separately before the ceremony. This may be done at the ceremony location before the ceremony begins. This is a legal requirement effective from 2024.

8. Paperwork and Certificates

  • You will receive a Form 15 presentation certificate on your wedding day
  • Your celebrant will lodge the marriage paperwork with the BDM within 14 days of the ceremony
  • Same-day lodgement is available as an add-on service

9. Liability

  • We are not liable for delays or issues caused by incomplete or inaccurate information provided by you
  • We are not responsible for obtaining venue permits or ensuring venue suitability
  • Weather-related issues at outdoor venues are not grounds for refund
  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for our services

10. Disputes and Complaints

If you have a complaint about our services:

  • Contact us via our contact form within 7 days of your ceremony
  • We will investigate and respond within 14 business days
  • Complaints about celebrant conduct may also be directed to the Attorney-General's Department

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
